Internet Marketing Basics – Finding Topics (list building)

April 20th, 2008 by admin

To continue our series on List Building, this is a very interesting video on how to find the right topics for your list.

This is a very important exercise. When you want to have a highly responsive list, a list of people who are ready and willing to buy from you; then you need your topic to be something that they are interested in. The concept is quite simple – find a niche topic that has quite a number of people who are willing to pay for the information, skills or “secrets”.

The challenge facing many new Internet Marketers would be to actually find such a topic. This videos outlines simple steps which you can use to help you identify these topics. Bear in mind that there are many ways of doing this. So, if you are comfortable with an alternative method, by all means use that one if it works for you.

Internet Marketing Basics – List Building

April 18th, 2008 by admin

As promised, we have looked around for more resources to share with you and have obtained the rights to this series of videos. They are presented by Ameer Salim and cover the basics of list building.

Most of you would have heard by now, that “the money is in the list”. What this basically means, is that if you can build a strong mailing list of relevant and interested people – people who are keen to learn more about your niche, then you are ready to make a lot of money.

This is not a difficult concept to understand. Get all those interested in your niche product to sign up for your mailing list and then you send them regular emails, newsletters and special offers relevant to your particular niche. However, many new Internet Marketers struggle with the whole process of actually building your list.

Building your list is not difficult. But it can appear to be a really scary and difficult task if you are not sure what to do. We have looked at several resources and found this series of videos to be simple, and step-by-step. We do talk about list building in other parts of Smart Business Formula, but different people learn differently and benefit from different styles. And so, here, you can learn the process of building your list.

The entire series will be covered over nine (9) videos. You will learn:

  1. Overview of the whole process
  2. How to find good content
  3. What kind of tools you need
  4. Using Aweber (the popular and powerful autoresponder used by most professional marketers)
  5. How to create an opt-in page (with several examples) and detailed step-by-step process

Each video is about 40 – 50 mins and some topics are covered in multiple videos. Over the next few weeks, we will be posting up 2 videos per week so as not to overload you with information. So, check back regularly (Mondays and Fridays) to get the latest videos.

Members Only! Yahoo Answers Traffic Machine Launched

January 21st, 2008 by admin

Exciting news!

All Smart Business Formula Members will now have full access to our latest tool: Yahoo Answers Traffic Machine. Look out for more exciting news. We have some great revenue plans for this tool that our members will be sure to love!

As a quick recap, we launched a Quick Cash Formula for Yahoo Answers. Many of you had problems finding new questions to answer, and the challenge of monitoring Yahoo Answers constantly to find and respond to opportunities was a huge one. This new tool will help solve all these problems.

Members can click on this link (Yahoo Answers Traffic Machine) and login to watch the instructional video if you have not already logged in. You will find a video explaining step-by-step how to use the Yahoo Answers Traffic Machine.

As a summary, the Yahoo Answers Traffic Machine will:

  1. Allow you to type in a keyword or area of interest
  2. Define if you want to see only “open” questions or more
  3. Define which region/country you want to see
  4. Define time when the question was first asked
  5. Generate a list of questions already hyperlinked to Yahoo Answers and you can start typing your answers immediately

This will greatly reduce your search time and allow you to monitor your specific niche constantly. It will give you the latest questions according to your criteria – so that you will always be the first to answer the questions.

We apologise that this tool is only available to full members. While we offer the Quick Cash Formula – Yahoo Answers video free to everyone, only our premium members can use this productivity tool for now.

To find out how to become a Member, you can visit: www.smartbusinessformula.com and learn about all the benefits of our program.

IMPORTANT UPDATE:
It has come to our attention that Yahoo is recently clamping down on answers that violate its community guidelines.

One such guideline states that:

“Yahoo! Answers is a place to gain knowledge, not customers. If you have years of experience in something, have a special hobby, own your own business, or if you are a knowledge partner, it’s OK to accompany a good, on-topic answer with a link to your website, blog, or email to offer more information. However, it is not OK to post links that are unrelated to the topic or are clearly meant only to solicit others for personal and financial gain.”

There’s also a “Report It” flag that anyone can report your answer if they deem it to have violated the guidelines.

To minimize the risk of having your Yahoo account suspended, this is what we recommend:

1) Always post relevant and quality answers
2) Include a link to a website that you own, not direct to an affiliate website. Whether you cloak your link using TinyURL or others does not really matter now, as anyone can report you.
3) If you do not have a website, create a free blogspot.com site, and put relevant useful content there.
4) Then point visitors to affiliate links that you place on your own website.

Blogger.com Allows External URLs Again

January 13th, 2008 by admin

Here is an update from our post: BlogSpot: No Follow And No Links

Blogger.com has taken the brunt of blogger displeasure at their decision to  remove the ability to post comments without logging into Blogger.com

They have back-pedaled from  their stand in You Blog, We Listen.

So, those who want to get a free blog, we continue to recommend Blogger.com (aka blogspot.com) to be one of the better choices.
